FMP, Week4, Day3, 16/8

Since the workshop is closed today, I'll streamline my processes and make adjustments in accordance with the teacher's suggestions. I began by formatting all of the links to the websites I visited for research into Harvard style. And don't forget to describe how this piece of work relates to my theme in a few words. Additionally, locate some additional works based on the primary research. In the morning, I did research on seven pieces of art and seven artists, and I wrote words and keywords to characterize them.

I then created a new mindmap. The new mindmap goes into greater depth about my individual thoughts than the previous one did. I quickly scribbled some suggestions next to them and jotted them down. I have four distinct concepts in all. The first involves using the bed as a bag that I take around as decor. I can lie down wherever I choose when I'm tired. The second is giving the bed a handbag-like appearance. The third involves giving the bed the appearance of a messenger bag. The final option is to wear the bed like a crown or headgear, which, of course, also provides sun protection.

In the afternoon I made a lot of sketches on my sketchbook. I designed the bed head and the end of the bed in combination with a jewelry design research I did before. Then I began to study what kind of material can restore the material used in that jewelry. I tried many methods such as folding transparent colored paper and so on. Then I found a soft clear plastic sheet, I used ink to drop the desired color into it and waited for it to dry. Then cut it into slices of different shapes. But I always feel like something is missing. I found out that the designer's jewelry has folds, not round pieces. I then tried shrinking with a heat gun, and it worked out really well.
